Ilana Corum is the Vice President of HR Consulting at Sageview Consulting, bringing more than 15 years of comprehensive human resources leadership across nonprofit, healthcare, higher education, and mission-driven organizations. As a strategic partner to executive leadership, Ilana leads HR strategy and operations for a portfolio of South Florida nonprofits, including the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services, the Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center, the Jewish Association for Residential Care (JARC), and the Donna Klein Jewish Academy.
In her role, Ilana bridges high-level strategy with hands-on leadership, ensuring that HR practices align seamlessly with each organization’s mission, culture, and long-term goals. She specializes in strengthening employee relations, optimizing organizational structures, enhancing performance management systems, and designing HR business practices that attract, engage, and retain top talent. Her work has positioned HR as a strategic driver of long-term growth and operational excellence.
Ilana’s strongest HR capabilities include diagnosing organizational needs, developing customized talent strategies, and partnering closely with executives to advance culture, engagement, and leadership effectiveness. She has designed competency-based performance frameworks, mission-aligned onboarding programs, and long-term recruitment and retention strategies that support both immediate and future workforce needs. Known for her diplomatic approach, Ilana leverages her academic background in political science to navigate complex interpersonal and organizational issues with clarity, fairness, and strategic foresight.
Technically, Ilana is highly proficient across a wide range of HR platforms and tools. She is experienced with HRIS systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, SuccessFactors, Oracle, Lawson, PeopleSoft, and Kronos. She is skilled in compliance and verification tools, including E-Verify+, AHCA Clearinghouse, and multiple background screening platforms. She is also adept in the full Microsoft Office Suite and social media based recruitment platforms.
Ilana is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Human Resource Association of Palm Beach County (HRPBC). She also holds HIPAA certification, supporting compliance across healthcare and social service environments.
Throughout her career at Sageview, Ilana has supported a wide range of clients, including Jewish Nevada, the Washington Commanders, and David M. Shapiro Disaster Consultants. She has led organizational restructures, strengthened performance management systems, launched employee engagement initiatives, implemented cost-saving strategies, and guided senior management through complex transitions. She has also overseen mission-critical recruitment efforts, enhanced onboarding frameworks, and identified key training and coaching needs to support leadership development and long-term retention. In the area of employee relations, she proactively mitigates risk, navigates sensitive issues, and collaborates closely with external employment counsel to ensure compliance and safeguard organizational integrity.
The biggest lesson Ilana has learned at Sageview is the importance of adaptability. Managing multiple clients with distinct needs has sharpened her strategic agility and reinforced HR’s critical role in sustaining operational stability and driving long-term success.
Ilana earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and her master’s degree from American University. Through her balanced approach, deep expertise, and commitment to mission-driven leadership, she ensures that people, culture, and strategic vision remain at the center of every HR initiative she leads.
